Give Your Affiliate Program A Lift With A New Or Improved Pr

by: Keller Flynn
If an affiliate program is an important part of your business, your profits are only as good as your affiliate members. Sales drop like a rock when they get discouraged or lose interest. You will see the dreaded signs if you frequently visit your affiliates' sites. The banner or enthusiastic endorsement they once had on their opening page is now relegated to a link on the second or third tier of their site. Something as simple as that can cut the number of hits you get by a factor of ten or twenty.

Two things usually account for members giving you the back burner treatment: Your product or service isn't selling as well as it once did for them. Or members are simply losing interest because newer, more exciting affiliate programs are grabbing their attention.

You can immediately solve both problems by offering a new or improved product or service. Spend time to make sure your new product is a big improvement over what has come before. The more you can insure your product is a big deal, the more excited your affiliates will get.

Make your roll-out a big production. Give your new creation a whole new area with a fresh new look on your web site. Two weeks before you unveil your new product, start sending announcements to your affiliates. Let them know something important is about to happen and they will be the first to hear about it.

After you bring out your product, do a quick follow-up with members. Get comments on how they expect the new product to sell. Harvest early accounts of how some members are doing well with the product. Include these comments in your weekly email updates to members.

A word of warning--try not to veer completely away from what has worked for you before. If you have always sold software, don't bring in a new line of office furniture as your new product for affiliates. An exciting new software application will work better and will not dilute the brand identity your business has  enjoyed.

Got a major product you don't want to ignore? Good! It's almost always easier to get affiliates and customers excited about an improvement to an old favorite than it is to make a favorite out of a completely new product.

Keep a file of customer complaints and ideas about your product. Over time you can use these as ideas starters for ways to build improvements that customers and affiliates will appreciate and value.

When interest in your product or service starts to diminish, pull our your file and make requested improvements. Add in enough improvements and you have a new issue, a next generation, or a fresh edition you can sell as a replacement or upgrade to your long list of previous customers.

Affiliate programs are still the number one way to market on the Web. It pays to keep your program exiting and top-of-mind. For many companies, it is unlikely that a better way to boost profits will come along any time soon.

Getting Rich from Affiliate Programs

by: Eric White
Some times it pays to work with others. In this article we will discuss how to make money with affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs (also called Referral Programs or Partnership Programs) are essentially ommission-based sales schemes. You recommend a site to your users and pick up a percentage of any sales those users generate. You benefit from the commission and the site benefits from sales it wouldn’t otherwise have made. If you’ve ever gone to a website and seen links to Amazon, those were affiliate links.

You can run an affiliate program from a site you’ve already set up, or create a site specially to promote a product or service. As long as it brings in more cash than you spend on building it and buying traffic, you’re laughing.

Affiliate ads work two ways: you can join them to make money, or you can run one to attract users.

************************************************************
Joining An Affiliate Program
************************************************************
As with any marketing venture, you need to be careful in the selection of an affiliate program. The benefit of an affiliate program is that it gives you another way to make money from your users. Instead of selling them a product yourself, you send them to a partner and take a cut.

On the downside though, your affiliate ads will take the place of a different ad that you could have put in that same spot. You have to make sure that each advertising position on your site is bringing in the maximum revenue possible. If you’re not getting the most from your site, you’re tossing money away.

The key to success is to choose the right program, right from the beginning.

Now, a lot of commercial sites run affiliate programs. That’s because they know that they only have to pay a commission if a sale is actually made; it’s a proven way to generate revenue without risk. What that means for you is that when it comes to choosing an affiliate program, you’re going to have a huge range to choose from. What it all boils down to though is product and price.

While it might be tempting to go for the program that pays the highest commissions, the program won’t pay you a penny if your users won’t go there or won’t buy once they get there. You have to be certain that the service you’re promoting is of genuine interest to the kind of users you buy, whether you’re buying them from search engines oranywhere else.

Sure, you can work backwards: You find a high-paying affiliate program and create a small site to send users to it, but do you know where to buy users for a program like that? You’re going to have to research the field, check out the most popular sites, and negotiate banner campaigns and link exchanges.

That’s fine if you want to invest the time and the effort. But it’s much easier to find an affiliate program operating in a field you’re familiar with, and use that program to  earn extra cash.

For example, suppose you had set up a dating site. You might make bit of money selling subscriptions, but you might make even more by joining Match.com’s affiliate program and selling them your users. Unless you’re planning to be the Internet’s biggest dating site, you’re not going to be able to compete directly and beat them, but you can join them—and earn money.

Or rather than sell your users directly to a ‘competitor’, you can look for services that complement your own. Visitors to your dating site, for example, might be interested in buying flowers, books on relationships or tickets on singles cruises. Instead of selling just one product—membership subscriptions—you’d be selling a whole range of different goods to the same people, and increasing the sources of your income.

Here are some tips to selecting an affiliate program that islucrative and right for you:
* Don’t accept less than 25% commission. You can findaffiliate programs with great payment structures and high percentages of the purchase price in just about every field.

* Look for comprehensive statistics pages that list the number of click-throughs, sales and earnings so you can see how you’re doing. The information should be broken down by month.

* Look for programs that offer a wide variety of promotional tools to put on your Web page, including text links, banners and graphics.

* Find out how often you will be paid and make sure that the payment schedule meets your expectations. Some programs pay monthly, others quarterly; which is best for you?

* Look for examples of marketing methods that successful affiliates are using to get the best results.

* Make sure that top level support is given. If they can’t answer your questions promptly and intelligently, you don’t want to work with them.

Affiliate programs offer a viable solution to competing against larger competitors and still make money. As the saying goes, if you can’t beat them, joint them! Until next time.

Now, you can get the inside scoop with the Internet Cash System absolutely FREE! This system sold hundreds at $49 each, but now I am making it available for FREE. Just go to the Internet Cash System website.

The Internet Cash System is GREAT for:
Stay at home parents
People who are retired or want to be retired
Anyone who needs extra money but does not want to "work"
Students who need income
Anyone who needs to stay home but also needs an income

Why would companies pay you just to promote their products? That's easy! Over 2.5 billion dollars are spent on advertising every year. These companies are spending a lot of money, and they are not guaranteed that the advertising will result in a sale. After all, you don't buy everything you see do you? No one does!

So, these same companies also have a different advertising program that not many people know about. It is called an affiliate program. By promoting their products, you can collect a commission off of every sale. These commissions can range anywhere from a few dollars to thousands. Most of the programs pay between $10-$100. The companies are able to pay you more because they don't have to pay a red cent until the sale is already made, so for them it is GUARANTEED advertising.

Again, this system is now FREE! Just go to the Internet Cash System website, and Online Business Guides.

Get High Commissions from your Affiliate Programs!

by: David McKenzie
A good way to tell if the affiliate program you belong to is serious about their affiliate program commissions is the percentage they are paying you. If someone is offering you 10% commission, and they are keeping the rest, then you need to ask yourself "Should I really be in this affiliate program?".

One affiliate program I have joined pays out 45% commission to their affiliates and another 10% to the 2nd tier. That's 55%! They only keep 45% and it's from this that they take their costs. Either they've gone completely mad or they are very smart! I suspect they are very smart.

By paying such high affiliate program commissions they are attracting many affiliates to their programs. This means they can sell a higher volume. With a higher volume of sales they can afford to give away such a high commission. Because they are giving so much away to their affiliates with high commissions it shows they are supremely confident in the worth of their product or service and its ability to sell itself. Their product or service is that good.

The affiliates are doing all the pre-selling, all the hard work, getting the eyeballs at their web sites. You want to get paid for it. Do not accept 10% commission rates. Set yourself a standard of nothing less than 20% and make sure that the 20% is more than just a couple of dollars.

It is with the big-percentage payers where you can make some decent commissions. The 40%-plus hitters. These BIG affiliate program commissions are the ones that will see your bank balance explode each and every month.

Generate More Sales in ANY Affiliate Program – Part Five

by: Gillian Tarawhiti
Affiliates make money in pretty much two ways, firstly by direct sales (straight forward, no need to elaborate on this) and secondly by commissions from on-selling. In this article I will be focusing on the affiliates, better known as your down line, your team, your partners, your network.

There are several different types of affiliates, the elusive Super Affiliate, Active Affiliates from Direct Sales, Active Affiliates who On-Sell and inactive affiliates.

The Active Affiliate from Direct Sales are the ones who join up under you and maintain their subscription to the program/service but don’t on-sell to others. Giving you Direct Sale Commission.

The Active Affiliate who On-Sell’s are the ones that provide you passive income giving you a percentage of their sales, this is known as TIER income. It is estimated that less than 5% of your Active Affiliates from Direct Sales will become On-Sellers. However, in saying that, the higher the commission on the product/service the higher percentage rate for Active Affiliate from Direct Sales to become On-Sellers.

So, lets look at a scenario, 25 Active Affiliates join under you, selling web hosting and you get $10.00 per direct sale as commission per month, assuming the Active Affiliate maintains their subscription. That’s and extra $250 a month in your pocket. Not a lot of money, BUT if you repeat this process in 9 other programs then your monthly income increases to $2500.00.

If the program being promoted is a necessity i.e. web hosting, auto responders etc, it is likely the Active Affiliate will maintain their subscription. However if the program is not a necessity item such as an ebook or similar then it is unlikely the affiliate will maintain their subscription, so choose affiliate programs wisely.

Dedicated Active Affiliate On-Sellers are a picky group that require a lot of maintenance, online support and regular contact. The product/service has to be lucrative for them to on-sell, with at least a 4+ tier system for it to be worthwhile.

Unless you have the time and money to invest in On-Seller’s then my suggestion today is for you to go for width not depth, and then duplicate it many times over providing Multiple Streams of Income.

The last article in this series will focus fully on ACTIVE AFFILIATES and how to get them. Till then to your online success!

Free Ways to Promote Your Affiliate Program

by: Clay Mabbitt
After learning of the success many online businesses have had increasing their sales with an affiliate program, you decided to follow suit. You hammered out a compensation plan both encouraging to affiliates and profitable to your business. You’ve got tracking software in place. You’ve turned the key in the ignition of your marketing machine… and nothing’s happening.

Your army of affiliates can be viewed metaphorically as a tree. Full grown, it will thrive in rain and sunshine. Strong changing winds can shake its branches, but the tree will continue to grow. In the early seed stage, however, special care is needed if you want your tree to break through the surface.

You spent a great deal of time, energy, and likely at least a little money creating your affiliate program. You need to attract strong affiliates that can rapidly build your customer base and return your investment. How can you bring these powerful marketing dynamos into your camp, ideally without drawing on your already diminished cash reserves?

1.) Submit to Online Directories
The method that will show the most immediate increase in new affiliates is listing your program in online affiliate directories. These reference sites are the first stop for hungry potential affiliates looking for the income opportunity that is going to allow them to quit their 9 to 5 jobs. Many such directories exist, and obviously some will bring you better results than others. Since submitting to almost all of these directories is free, though, get listed on as many as you can.

Here are a few links to submission pages to get you started, but by no means should you stop with just these few:
http://www.becomeanaffiliate.com/cgi-bin/add.cgi
http://www.affiliatesoftware.info/joinaffiliatedirectory.php

http://www.2-tier.com/cgi-bin/add_url.cgi
http://www.affiliatesdirectory.com/links/add.cgi
http://www.earnfind.com/addprogram-howto.php

2.) Advertise in Your Own Newsletter
Hopefully you’ve been collecting email addresses from your website and sending a regular newsletter to your visitors. (If not, read this article: http://www.zeromillion.com/ebiz/creating-an-email-newsletter.html) Your newsletter subscribers are a precious handful of people that have expressed direct interest in keeping abreast of the latest developments with your product/service and company. Give them what they want! You can kick off your affiliate program with an article in your newsletter explaining the benefits and encouraging your subscribers to participate. Your future newsletters can contain short blurbs about the affiliate program and how it’s progressing to inform new subscribers and remind your original readers.

3.) Post to Affiliate Forums and Newsgroups
Approach this method with caution. No one will be impressed if you post a blatant advertisement or a plea to join your affiliate program. If you find a forum that contains such messages, don’t even bother making a post there. The forum probably isn’t moderated, and almost certainly isn’t read by many people. The place to include information about your website and program is in your profile (and in your signature line if other posters do so). A serious forum, read by the type of people you want to have as affiliates, will only contain posts with relevant and useful content instead of advertising fluff messages.

How can you add relevant and useful content? The first step is to read some of the existing posts and get a feel for the general personality of the forum. At best, reading old posts will spark questions that can be turned into relevant posts and generate interested responses. At worst, you’ll see what’s been talked about recently, so you don’t make the awkward mistake of asking a question that was answered a few days ago.

If no topics come to mind after reading old posts, a possible strategy is to ask for the advice of some experienced affiliates in how you could improve your program. You’ll find different ideas on what constitutes a solid compensation plan, tracking system, or incentive program. Beyond getting attention for your program, this is a great opportunity to improve your program by picking the brains of people who’ve been in the game longer than you.

This list is obviously not comprehensive, but it contains a few forums worth investigating:

Five Things to Look For to Join Any Affiliate Program!

by: John Navata
Here's a really simple way... to find out which affiliate program provides all the 7 packages to join an affiliate program.

When I wanted to start to join an affiliate program it took me awhile to pick the best one. My inbox was filled up with all these advertisements and I just didn't know how to pick the right program.

Now how would you know which program is going to bring the best profit? I personally believe that a lot of the income is created from the effort an affiliate marketer puts into a program. I have 7 tips for you before you pick the best one.

1. Look for the best commission.
You need a program that will pay you a good commission rate. It should pay you at least 20% of each sale. A good rate is 50% and anything above that is ideal. You should also look for how often they pay. Some programs pay you twice a month and sometimes every week. Most programs also only pay you when you have earned a base amount.

2. Look for a good Back Office Support.
What is the support for your program like? Do they have a good list of Frequently Asked Questions "AKA", a contact email address with a quick response? Any more than 3 days for a response is too long. Programs that offer live chat is even better.

3. Statistics for you to see.
The program should offer an automated and immediate reaction to your statistics. They should automatically contact you when you receive a client, prospect, lead, customer or when you make a sale. It should also be ready to view in your downline as soon as you have the knowledge of the sale etc.

4. The program must have Incentives.
It is important to have marketing tools to keep track of business and weekly training from successful people that is making it. If it has marketing letters or articles that is a plus.

5. Find out if you will get monthly reports or updates.
Every good program will have news and training updates sent to your inbox so you can learn what works best for the program and what the top affiliates of the program are doing. You should also be able to read this on their website.

Before you dive into anything, it is important to do your business. Learn as much as you can and make sure you feel comfortable with your decision before going ahead. If you look for these 5 Tips when you start looking for the best affiliate program, I guarantee you that you won't be disappointed when you join that company. This will save you time and money. When I joined a program, I was pretty glad I joined a company with all the 5 packages.

After reading this article, I believe you will be an expert once you see an affiliate program. It will take time to know a legitimate program.

1. Affiliate Programs Can Be Very Beneficial To Internet Market

FIVE FANTASTIC WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR AFFILIATE PROGRAM

by: Keller Flynn
If you belong to any affiliate program, you know that being successful at the affiliate game hinges on one simple concept: getting as many people to join as you possibly can.

There are a lot of different programs out there and even more ways promote them, so I've narrowed things down to what I believe are the five absolute best ways to get the word out about YOUR affiliate program.

So, without further ado, here they are:

1) ON EVERY PAGE OF YOUR WEB SITE
That's right... every page. After looking through your site and seeing that link on every page, they're just bound to click on at least one of them. Promoting your program on every page will not only utilize the proven marketing method of repetition, but will also display your enthusiasm, which is also a great tool.

2) IN YOUR NEWSLETTER
Since most of your core customers are already looking at it, your newsletter is a terrific place to promote your affiliate program. Position an ad with a link right at the top of your newsletter, again somewhere in the middle, and also at the bottom.

3) EZINE ADS
Ezines like DEMC and AIM have huge numbers of subscribers, and both cater mostly to an audience of online businesspeople and opportunity seekers. Therefore, ads placed in these newsletters can reach literally tens of thousands of the right kind of people. Reaching a targeted audience like this is key if youwant a good return on your investment.

4) PRESS RELEASES
If your affiliate program is new, unique, or especially profitable, a press release sent to the right audience can really give you a boost. A well-written press release just placed on your web site can give your program a "newsy" feel that might really impress people.

5) WORD OF MOUTH
I can't say enough about word-of-mouth advertising. If you're excited about your affiliate program, talk about it. Tell your friends, your family, your co-workers, and people on the bus all about how you're making money. People who know you are more likely to take you on your word, and if they tell their friends and family... you get the picture.

Promoting your affiliate program really isn't very hard, and it can make the difference between success and failure. Use these methods, and you're likely to go far.

Finding the Best and Most Lucrative Affiliate Programs

by: Troy Pentico
One of the questions that is asked the most by both the beginning and experienced Internet Marketer is, What are the best affiliate programs?

With literally thousands of affiliate programs on the Internet to choose from it is no surprise that people have problems deciding on the best ones to join and promote. Today I am going to focus on things you need to take into consideration when trying to tell the difference between an outstanding affiliate program and the ones you should avoid like the plague.

Target Markets That You Have Some Knowledge In

When you know something about the market you are entering into it will save you time and money because you will reduce the amount of research that will need to be done in finding products that target customers in that market need.

If you already know the market you won't be spending a lot of time researching what the market needs because you will recognize these products when you find them.

Focus Your Efforts on Programs in “HOT” Markets

The best programs to promote are not only in hot markets but they also offer products that are needed by the target customers in that particular market but also are unique products as well so your competition is at a minimum.

Look For Affiliate Programs with High Pay Outs

The best ways to promote affiliate programs will be the same no matter what the price of the product. When you sell “High Ticket” items you will be using the same marketing strategies that you would use for products with small price tags.

So the question you need to ask yourself is “Why am I wasting my time and advertising dollars promoting products that will take me double or triple the effort to make good money?”

It is not only common sense but it is simple math as well. If one affiliate program pays $20 dollar per sale and another pays you $40 dollars per sale it is going to take you twice as many sales to generate the same profits from the first program as it will the second.

Seek Out Income Streams

If it cost you $1 dollar in advertising to gain one paying customer which would you choose:

1.A one time sale customer that you will have to continually promote other similar products to on a month to month basis so they spend additional money to increase your profits. -or-

2.A customer that pays a reoccurring membership fee every month that you automatically receive a percentage from.

You don't even have to bother answering the question for me. I already know your answer. If at all possible you want to focus your promotional efforts on the programs that are going to offer you the highest return (your commissions) for the lowest investment (your advertising dollars).

Some businesses that offer multiple products will offer their affiliates life-time commissions. So if you were the first affiliate to get a customer to buy a product from them you will receive commissions on every product they buy in the future from them no matter how they ended up being referred back to the site.

These are also very nice programs to put your efforts into.

Start Your Own Mini-Affiliate Program

Some affiliate programs setup what is called a “Two-Tier” commission schedule. With these programs you not only receive commissions on sales that you have referred to the program but you can recruit other affiliates to the program and receive commissions on their referred sales as well.

The bottom-line is the more of these principles an affiliate program follows the more deserving of your time and effort they are.

Earning from PPC Search Engine Affiliate Programs

by: Jonathon White
What are PPC Search Engines?
PPC Search Engines are search engines that allow advertisers to list their site within their search results on a pay per click basis. Advertisers bid against other advertisers for the same keywords or phrases. The highest bidder will then have their site ranked #1 in the PPC Search Engine results for a certain keyword followed by the second highest bidder for the same keyword followed by the third highest bidder for the same keyword, etc.

When a visitor then does a search in the PPC Search Engine and clicks on an advertisers bided link, the advertisers account will then get deducted for that click. This only happens once per unique visitor. So if that same visitor clicked on the same advertisers bided link twice, then the advertisers account will only get deducted for the first click.

Why is it easier to earn from PPC Search Engines than other affiliate programs?
PPC Search Engine affiliate programs are a good and easy way to earn some quick cash online. It is a lot easier to earn from PPC Search Engines than most other affiliate programs because you earn from your visitors click-thru’s to an advertisers site and not per action or sale.

Where can I find PPC Search Engines that offer affiliate programs?
There are only a few good resources on the Internet that lists a large amount of PPC Search Engines. Most of these are either outdated where they have a lot of PPC Search Engines that don’t exist anymore or only mainly gives information about a PPC Search Engines advertising offers.

If you were looking to join some PPC Search Engines that offer affiliate programs so that you can earn some quick and easy cash, then a useful resource to use would be http://www.affiliateseeking.com/ppcaff.php.

This is because it lists over 375 PPC Search Engines where you can easily compare what each PPC Search Engines affiliate program has to offer and you can even organize the PPC Search Engines results by Date Added, Minimum Payout, Earnings, etc.

I have joined a PPC Search Engine. How do I go about advertising it so that I can earn from it?
Once you have joined a PPC Search Engine, you can then easily get promotional links/ material from the affiliate section of the PPC Search Engine account where you can then use them to advertise the PPC Search Engine that you have joined.

Most PPC Search Engines allow you to advertise them by using search boxes, an xml feed, text links, referral links, banners, a portal page, and more.
